Statistics Show Frustrated Users
Did
you have an inbox full of unsolicited e-mails this morning? Or did
you request to stay abreast of the latest information concerning
loan rates, pyramid schemes, million dollar giveaways and “local
singles”?
Well, according to two recent Harris Polls, you are not alone. The
surveys of more than 4,000 adults found that people are being “spammed”
more frequently and are growing tired of it. About 40 percent of
all e-mails received are spam, according to the polls.
On the bright side, however, 70 percent of the people surveyed said
they received 30 or fewer e-mails per day. Other findings included:
“How much of a problem is spam getting unsolicited e-mail
from people who do not know you?”
