Semaphore News

Spring into History
Semaphore has created a colorful new campaign to promote the Historic Columbia Foundation's Second Annual Tour of Homes and Gardens, which will be held May 13-15. The annual event will explore the exteriors, interiors and gardens of a variety of residences and businesses in the Arsenal Hill Neighborhood, an area of downtown Columbia that spans more than 100 years of architectural history.

For more information regarding the tour of historic homes and gardens or for ticket order information please visit www.historiccolumbia.org. Tickets may also be ordered by calling 803.252.7742 x23.

"It's Good to be Home" in Marlboro County
Marlboro County recently came to Semaphore in search of a new image campaign and they found that "It's Good to be Home." The new slogan is designed to make existing residents proud of their home in addition to positioning the county as a wonderful location for business and pleasure. Along with collateral material, the "It's Good to be Home" campaign will be featured on billboards throughout the county. The campaign will help build awareness of this unique part of the Pee Dee region, known for its historic towns, southern charm, rich agriculture and diverse industries.

Of course! It's one of the many reasons we love these clients!
A recently released study by the USC Business School proved something we've known all along: electric cooperatives are vital to South Carolinians and the state's economy. According to Dr. Donald Schunk at the Darla Moore Business School, co-ops directly and indirectly contribute $1.4 billion to the S.C. economy. He goes on to say, "these co-ops care about and serve as catalysts for economic development and social benefit in their communities."
