| An Energy Saver |
The electric cooperatives in South Carolina are involved in their communities in many ways. That includes supporting schools, the arts, sports, economic development and anything that improves local quality of life. Semaphore found that hundreds of times a year, our electric co-op clients are called on to advertise with these groups. We came up with a way to help them do that efficiently - and save money.
We call it the Community Ads Kit, a CD-ROM that features ads for most areas they try to support: school bands to fledgling ballerinas, football fans to small business owners. This is virtually a collection of standard-sized ads highlighting the Touchstone Energy® values upheld by each co-op and how they apply in the daily life of a community. We believe the message is simple and direct and that the images are appealing because they remind us of our neighbors and ourselves.
It is our hope that this enables these clients to invest more in support of community events and worry less about the cost to produce so many ads in a year. With this timesaving resource, the cooperatives can also respond more quickly to local requests. The Touchstone Energy® value of commitment to community is our value, too.
